Our story

Belles Jumelles, a Belgian design brand, was created by the identical twins, Loes & Lotte De Neve.  One is entrepreneurial, the other creative and together we push boundaries.

Our personality defines our brand completely: we love nature and travelling and we’re passionate about art and design.

The idea

During our travels, we met the most inspiring people who all had their own story to tell and a culture to understand. Back home, we wanted to share our memories with others.

We searched for a large world map, that was both detailed and beautiful: made from designed cork, with visible country borders and that contained most island groups. A map that we could proudly show to our friends and family.

Mission impossible, it seemed, so we came up with the idea to make one ourselves. We put up the first prototype at home. Friends and family were so enthusiastic that they convinced us to launch the Rio map worldwide. Belles Jumelles was born.

Team

But, no one succeeds alone! Along the way, we were surrounded by a young team of local Freelancers who supported us and journeyed with us. Stijn De Mil (FabLab Factory) and Freek Heyman (hymn visuals): thank you for your support and trust. Together we reached our final destination.
